You just can't give up on Ram Gopal Varma, can you?
He's made some masterpieces. Not just money spinners but genuine works of art. But of late, he has made stuff that causes acute embarrassment.
Over the years, however, his body of work can be divided into two sections- pre and post Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag. The latter half has been mired with loads of mediocrity.
After a forgettable run with his films for the last six years, Ramu (as Varma is known in the film industry) will now direct a film with Amitabh Bachchan in the saddle. Remember his Amitabh starrers Nishabd, Sarkar, Sarkar Raj, Rann and Department? Isn't that a reasonably fair list?
And with both Sarkar and Sarkar Raj having done fairly well at the box-office, what would make a safer bet than the third instalment of Sarkar?
SpotboyE.com has it that Ramu is fast getting ready with Sarkar 3.
A source says, "Ramu has spoken about the film with Amitabh. He needs a hit really badly."
